Doings of the day.

Sith cat has to be pilled every day.  He has asthma and has half a steroid for that then a blue pill for his liver function.  The DP holds him tight wrapped in a towel while I give him the pills.  Today I wasn't quick enough and got bitten.  Thoroughly cleansed and the bleeding stopped.  I kept forgetting and set it off bleeding again... hey ho.

Prom visit.

Another fine day.  I walked.  Lots of boats.  The Gulls.  Walkers on the beach.  Lovely.

Into town and to Boots.  The DP collected my BB oil free moisturiser for my face.  Thank you Boots,

Bird watching in the Shedudio.

Return of the Long Tailed Tit.

I decided to face my next challenge of pruning the Hydangeas.  Completely forgetting the bitten finger.  I managed a few heads before blood began leaking again......  Cleaned up again and tight plaster applied.  Will I ever learn.

Back inside.  Realised the days are getting longer.

Rounded off by the sunset at about 20 to 6.  Well that cheered me up no end!

Jill keep an eye on the cat bite, I discovered you can get a pill popper from the vet,you put the tablet in the end and push the plunger, very effective
love reading your blog

Any scratches here (haven't been bitten) have TCP on straight away, just in case. I hope that Sith minds his manners in future.

We have had to give Alfie anti-biotics twice daily for the past week so I have wrapped the pill half in butter, to cover the broken edge and to help it slide down his throat.

It sounds like you were feeling your old self today, out with the secateurs.

I noticed last night just how the days are getting longer - makes one feel good doesn't it? Did you know you can buy a pill crusher from Amazon for around eight pounds, which means you can mix the 'powder' in a bit of favourite food. It always worked with Tess - whether it would with a cat I am not so sure.

Wow, that was one big container ship! Yes, it is definitely getting lighter earlier - I try to stay asleep but the sun wakes me up. Gorgeous sunset!

About the comment to crush the pills - not all pills can be crushed, it affects how they're assimilated by the body. The Pill Popper is a good idea as recommended by Marlene - all the pill goes down rather than trying to disguise it (crushed or otherwise) in food.
A bit hesitant to offer any advice really as you took offence about someone trying to help about breakfast. Sometimes one can be trying to help and it's not appreciated, it's not always easy to know how far to go with advice, or if someone is posting but not really wanting comments with observations.

I hadn't seen the Long tails for weeks but now they are back in 2 or 3s every day. And a robin always singing from the same tree each time I fetch in wood.
Very dull here today - hope it's better your way

Snap I have a poorly finger too courtesy of the dog! We used a drawstring bag to put our cat in for the pill popping purpose. It was in fact my old schol gym bag but it worked a treat and we managed not to strangle or hang him!
The photos of the birds on the feeder have given me inspiration for a lino cut.
