No steroids today. Instead I had the 'delight' of the monthly pill, Ibandronic Acid, which is supposed to reverse bone loss. The daft thing is that steroids do the opposite so I am, as the doctor said, in a cleft stick...
Weather changing now and much darker at night.
Breezy, cool and spitty rain.
Small Mackerel Fishing boat coming home.
Larger boat going out.
Two lovely friends came to visit the Shedudio in the afternoon. The DP had made White chocolate and raspberry Muffins.
Lady S.H. having a siesta outside the shedudio window.
I am not getting much painting done this week!
There is always tomorrow. This could be the photo to paint from.....

Lovely photo of Lady S.H. - definitely a candidate for your paintbrush
I hope that the pill doesn't have any side effects Jill.
Lovely to have more visitors of the human (and avian) kind!
Sparrowhawks don't usually hang around where people are unless they're hurt or unwell. You mentioned it crashed into the branches too, have you seen it in full flight? If it's spending a lot of time on the ground it's not going to be able to spot and catch it's prey.
I do not normally publish anonymous comments. But feel I should reply to this. My partner and I have been watching birds for many many years. This Sparrowhawk is a young one and learning her craft. She crashes into bushes as all sparrowhawks do in pursuing her prey. She is not aware of our presence. As we respect her space. She is often in full flight. As we give her space. Our garden and surroundings is such that we can watch birds without interfering - arent we lucky and are not the birds we observe. We have seen her catch her prey. She is a healthy young bird. Please do not patronise.
A beautiful photo, looking forward to seeing which one you choose for painting.
