Medical reports.

A very windy day.  But sunny and warm.

Sith cat is doing okay.  Back at the vets in three months, carry on with half a steroid every other day.

Me to my Breathing clinic nurse.  Half an hour with her is better than any medicine!

I now have an appointment with my GP who will then refer me to a Consultant.  The last one I saw some years ago(2011!) has now retired and apparently medicine has moved on......  I may have to have a scan which will identify exactly where the problems are and what to do about them.  I am so glad I have lived this long to be able to hear that!!!!!!!!!!

The fact I do Pulmonary physio, that my attitude is one of a fighter(?) and wont give up gracefully, has made me a candidate for referral.  Well I think that's what she said.

Of course the waiting list for the Consultant could be around 6 months so I have to keep going......

I then took myself off to the Prom to try and assimilate all the nurse and I had discussed. As you can imagine it was mind boggling and quite a shock.  I thought I was just going to gracefully fade away.

I think I should now wear Purple and spit. Jenny Joseph's poem.

When I am an old woman I shall wear purple
With a red hat which doesn't go, and doesn't suit me.
And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves
And satin sandals, and say we've no money for butter.
I shall sit down on the pavement when I'm tired
And gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells
And run my stick along the public railings
And make up for the sobriety of my youth.
I shall go out in my slippers in the rain
And pick flowers in other people's gardens
And learn to spit.

It was breezy.  My original thought was to just get out of the car and walk to the railings and hang on.  The chariot would surely have been blown away.  Then I saw a seal.  In the water.  So I walked a little further, clinging on to the railings.  No seal.

I found out later that this was one boat rescuing another and being guided to do so by the wee Pilot boat!

Despite not getting a photograph of the seal I did get a photograph of a Sandwich Tern hunting and fishing.

Then it was home and into the shedudio.  Finished the Oystercatcher.

I have had quite a lot of stuff to take in today.  So forgive me for being apparently light hearted and with some levity.

Over here, in the USA, I understand that they are treating COPD with stem cells. I really admire your spirit, and your talent.

Best Regards, Linda

Love your spirit, keep fighting. I've always liked that poem, but can't decide whether pink or purple, I keep getting the urge, :-).
That tern photograph is super, the oystercatcher painting too. If you don't mind me asking, now that you have had your eye done, do you look back at some of your previous, recent paintings and notice any difference to the ones you do now, or has it just made it easier?

There are medical advancements on a daily basis so hopefully new treatment will help alleviate some of the problems. The wind is blowing a gale here on the Isle of Lewis.
