Wednesday.

Beautiful weather.  All day.  Despite the forecast for heavy rain and high winds which are now with us.  We had the wood burner on last night but the liquid gold is now heating the house as the DP is producing his presentation for the return of the Photographic Society tomorrow evening.  He replenishes the wood burner during the evening but is fine tuning!

We went to the Prom.

On the right.

On my left.

Where the Kessock Burn joins the North Sea.  Roughly in the middle.

Gull Gang.

By the rocks under the caravan park a Redshank.  Not seen one of those for a while.

This is a first for me.  A Bar Tailed Godwit.

A different view.

This is the Path of Doom.  Some time ago I used to walk up here as it was a measured walk at .59 of a mile.  Just over half!  From where the car is parked to the end.   It has been a while.  But today I walked a little up it.  I have every intention of getting to the other end - and back.  But a bit at a time.

This is back to the car from today.

Well pleased.

And thanks to Where the Journey Takes me blog

I - at last - picked up the pencil and the paint brush.

Wednesdays Child is full of woe.  Not this Wednesday though!

What a good day! I love the Redshanks and it's always exciting to see a new bird and begin a new work of art...And think of challenges. I hope the weather is better for you!

What a successful day - a walk along the path, a painting in progress, a bar tailed Godwit and you had sunshine...all day too - lucky you - we got rain again. Long may it continue.
