Wednesday whizzed past. Now Thursday.

I cannot cope with all I have to do with this upcoming exhibition.  Stressed out of my mind!

Right - the Sovereign.  Yes the wreck is in the North Sea.

The wreck, once a fishing boat called The Sovereign, has been stranded at Cairnbulg on the east coast of Scotland since it ran aground during a stormy night in 2005.

More recently - remember the film The Life of Pi? Well everyone got very excited expecting a tourist boom as this was obviously nicked by the film lot for their promotional filum .  Life of Pi poster on the left, the Sovereign on the right.  It didnt happen.

And I still get stopped on the Prom and asked about the wreck at the other side of the bay.  And the Lifeboat and coast guard still get people phoning them in a panic as they can see a boat sinking.  Its stuck there.  Would cost too much to get equipment to remove it.  And it is a great roosting place for Cormorants and Shags.

"Just after midnight, the UK flagged fishing vessel Sovereign grounded close to Cairnbulg Briggs light beacon, east of Fraserburgh. Sovereign was holed in several compartments and was unable to be salvaged: she was later declared a constructive total loss. There were no injuries and only minor pollution."

So there you go.

Thanks for all the advice re the trouser problem.  Will keep hunting.

Yesterday and today I did the Prom.

The tide was well out so the birds were a long way out too.  The wind was beginning to pick up but it was still pleasant.

It chucked it down with rain when I got home.  But then we had a wonderful sunset.

And just before that there were Deer in the field.

And I watched lots of Pink Footed Geese, which overwinter with us, going to bed.

Their calls are magical.  I will try for a video next.

Thank you for the info. on the Sovereign. Perhaps there should be a sign up saying "Don't panic - it's a wreck!"

Lovely sunset photo. We face primarily east so if there's a good sunset we don't notice it, and anyway, there's a big chunky hill behind our house so that cuts out a lot of sky. Sunrises, however, are our speciality!

Don't push yourself too hard over the Exhibition or you will Be Ill. Note my wagging finger Jill!!!
