I shall not bore you all with a blow by blow account of the day's events. I did not enjoy it. My eye hurts and as it is still dilated so I am not sure the operation even worked.
With eye shield on. (Micropor now replaced.) Have to sleep with this on for next 2 weeks.
Can see better with sunglasses on. My pupil is still dilated so difficult to 'see' if operation has been successful.
During this difficult day.....6 of us post 65 year old ladies were being given our pre op eye drops to dilate the pupil.
The nurse shouted out to the other after examining me, "She isnt fully dilated."
To which I replied, "Reminds me of the labour ward."
6 of us post 65 year old ladies collapsed into giggles.
With a few shouts of "No way." "Never again!"

oh my,,, that does look uncomfortable and I have to admit i was thinking about you, I know you must have been frightened, how could you not,, anything to do with our eyes is so scary. Rest up, its over,, soon you'll be right as rain,
Chortle!
Not sure which I would consider worse - labour or eye operation - shudder to both!
Pressed submit a little too soon - fingers crossed for your eye getting back to fighting fit, need to get painting and reveling in the warmth of your studio :)
Oh you made a funny comment, laughter at a tough moment is precious. I hope you are healing fully.
Good you are back home and the worst(hopefully)is over. Rest up and let DP pamper you!
xx
Such a brave lady. You're an inspiration for all of us. I am hoping you will be thrilled and amazed with the results.
Hope you've had a good night's rest and are feeling better today.
Jill hoping madly the op was a success for you and the discomfort is leaving soon. Hugs.
