I have spent most of the day supporting my children with concerns they have of their children coughing. Some have just returned to school. Bugs fly at those times. But they panic it could be the virus. I am fed up of reading rubbish about the virus. And it affecting all of our lives with little reason I feel. My carer today knows no-one had it, having it, and her clientele would surely be amongst the afflicted. No-one I know has it or experience of it. There are simple speedy tests apparently which could be done but are not? Why not?
Outside totally unconcerned. The Badger eating apple.
My breathing which I have been struggling with all day is now easier. From this connection with nature.
Which is what happens at the Prom. I only made it to the railings. It has been windy which always affects my breathing. But the sea air soothes the exercise of breathing.
Then tonight the sun going down.
I can breathe. Let me get on with my life. Let us all get on with our lives. Take a deep breath and look to see how we can care for each other and that intent be in our governments also. But it isnt.

A friend in England did have the virus...he’s recovered. My grandchildren have been sent home from school. Two children in their school have been confirmed with Coronavirus ( how many are a symptomatic?) and grandson has a cold and is coughing so has been tested and his sister was sent home, too..since they live together. No masks for primary students..how stupid is that? Raging over here in areas due to tRump and his stupid followers....
Hi we are from clydeside and have a small house there and also one in South African where we have lived and worked from the days of Margaret Thatcher. When our ship back to Europe was cancelled we decided to stay in S.A. Best decision as we were ill during lock down but all the doctors were working as normal. We have been on our first holiday in six months going on another next month and planning a trip to the Cape. Our covid cases are now less than the UK and there is talk of the borders opening but where do we go.
Also a lot of our care homes went into lockdown before the uk lockdown, with staff living in who left their families to care for the needy, so very few deaths. We now play bowls go for walks have lunch out, life is fine. There is a curfew and alcohol is only sold Monday to Thursday, it was not sold at all for two months. We have to wear masks inside shops etc and use hand sanitizer a lot but you get used to that.
We were thinking of coming to the UK to see the grandchildren but that is looking less likely as we are in our seventies and if we take ill we will have a problem. We think Sweden has gone about this pandemic the right way. We must be carefully but we must live
Just listening to the radio and someone saying they couldn't get tested - yet all they had was a runny nose! DUH! Not a symptom!
A lot depends on the number of tests performed. Where there are not enough tests done (tens of thousands daily in my country), people live in a Fool's Paradise, style - haven't seen, haven't heard.
I don't know about England, but where I live, if they won't close the schools immediately, parents are going to deal with a tragic situation.

A friend of ours was one of the first to die,in Glasgow , away back in March. He spent time on a ventilator which his family agreed to switch off as he deteriorated. He was exposed to the virus at his daughter’s birthday party and most people at the party were ill and two others who were linked to he family then died a few days apart. We have stayed at home since March and had shopping delivered or brought by our daughter. I finally ventured out at the beginning of the month to the Post Office which is also a Co-Op. well organised for safety but sadly fellow shoppers were ignoring the rules. Now our area is forbidden visitors at home as the cases are rising in our area. I have downloaded the tracker but I’m not sure it will be any use if we are not going out. We are lucky to have one another and today finished a joint project to pur great satisfaction. Strange and scary times.
After six months of being germ free, Lily has been back at school for a week and is now full of cold. I expect I'll be next. X
