The snow continueth as does the wind and below freezing temperatures.
Despite the wee road we live on being ploughed and gritted at least twice today the wind is whipping up the snow and making deep snow drifts. The DP went off this evening to his Photographic Society. Got so far up the road and a car was firmly stuck in a huge snowdrift in front of him, blocking the road. The DP did not have a rope, and the stuck car did not want a lift, and was phoning someone with, presumably a tractor to get him out. So the DP had to turn with difficulty and return home. Both he and I were relieved. It's a man thing.....
We have had snow almost all day. The winds whipping it up, over 30 mph. Below freezing wind chill. And still it continues tomorrow. Schools remain closed.
Here is Dyson again. And many birds sheltering in the Lilac Tree the DP ' trimmed' and left in the corner of the garden.
Blackbirds above, Chaffinches below.
The multitude below the tree hanging bird feeders.
The DP managed to do the shopping this morning with no problems. But since there has been such a deterioration of the weather. I was well happy he turned round this evening and came home.
I enjoyed the afternoon. Birdwatching and painting.
More on Dyson. Loose painting.
And begun another in pen and ink with watercolour wash.
A Shag, from a photograph from a friend, Mark Grant.
I am at the mercy of the weather, are not we all.
I hope everyone is warm, safe and that tomorrow I can get further than the shedudio, even if it is only to ASDA or somesuch. In the lap of the gods .
The Prom today taken by the DP when out doing the shopping. Doubt there were any surfers!

Dyson? Because he hoovers up all the bird seed?
Ours is back but hasn’t found the bird table yet. Only a matter of time. Especially in this weather. Keep warm Jill.
Wow, stay warm.
We have caught up with the snow here on the South coast, I'm feeding the birds several times a day.
Oh my goodness, please tell DP I love his photograph of the rocky shoreline with the faint image of the lighthouse in the background. Perfect, just perfect.
