Mixed bag.

The blood extraction was painful .  I had a nurse who was not going to listen to the patient.  I told her I had narrow veins she ignored me.  Apparently it is a regular test for kidneys and liver function.  Why?  No answer.  I did not bother to ask her about other things that were bothering me.

After lunch we went to the Prom.

Tide coming in.

Gull Gang.

Guard boat coming in to harbour.

Three swimmers who have swum across the bay.

This evenings dinner time visitor.  Female Sparrowhawk.  She did not catch any dinner on this visit.

Sorry you had a bad time with your blood test. Wonderful photos of the sparrow hawk. I sometimes get one in the garden but don't always see it. Just the feathers left from its dinner.

I have good veins but never have the practice nurses draw my blood as one hit a nerve once and my arm was painful for weeks. My daughter had problems with them too when she was only eleven and ended up having a fit faint after five goes! I always use the phlebotomy dept at the hospital since then as advised by the doctor!

So sorry that you had to deal with a nurse who was RUDE !!

I often wonder if those taking our blood are taught not to listen to us. Sorry it was so painful.

Love the sparrow hawk photos.

God bless.

I love the sparrowhawk and the brave swimmers to swim across the bay.

Tom is a bugger when it comes to getting blood from him, often he is like a pin cushion before they find a good vein.
We have the 6 monthly review coming up very shortly but quite frankly it will be a waste of time. I could probably tell them more than they know, its only the nurse this time.
Meanwhile he is getting shorter of breath and on some days is coughing lots. It's not nice to watch and I'm sure your DP doesn't like seeing you like you are either but what can we do.
Love the bird.

The colors and reflections in your first two photos are absolutely beautiful!! You really took lovely ones there; I do love them! Your first one reminds me of Emily Dickinson's poem, An Everywhere of Silver.

An Everywhere of Silver
With Ropes of Sand
To keep it from effacing
The Track called Land.

Thank you, Jill! I don't often comment, but just had to for this one.

I forgot to say: I do enlarge your photos to full screen, and my screen is large. I can almost walk into your photos.

I have a phobia about needles. One nurse told me to always drink a lot of water ahead of time, it plumps the veins and make them easier to hit the first time.
