Remember we had the Garden Designer? Who did the plans. Then our neighbour pointed out his main electric supply was underneath the bit the designer had got down for a pond. Which entailed someone going in with a digger and possibly getting electrocuted and the neighbour losing his electric.
So now apparently the designer says we need a utility survey. Hmm shouldn't the garden designer have organised that? Before doing her plans?
The DP and I may go for the status quo. In other words do nothing. Our grass shaver is calling round tomorrow for a discuss. Watch this space.
So we went to the Prom. All stresses and worries leave me here.
Pleasant weather.
Sea birds way over to the left, away from the few humans on the beach.
Hooray! An Oystercatcher.
Willing Lad.
Heading for the harbour.
Visitor to the bedroom. Yellow winged Moth. Only when it opens its wings do you see the yellow underneath.
Variety of Sparrows, Tree and House.
Juvenile Robin.
Why? Is nothing ever straight forward. Is it me or what. Stressed.

It's not you Jill, I think it's this day and age which brings on the stress.
That is unfortunate about the electric line underground right where a pond is to be. However knowing how deep underground the line is would be of use, and it should be encased in some kind of hard conduit or pipe. So digging slowly with caution looking for a pipe may work.
It seems like nothing is as straight forward as we would like. Yes the designer should have found where all the utilities were before doing up her plans.
God bless
I suspect that she can not request the utility report as only the householder can request or give written permission to request.
My suggestion? - move the pond or re-think the depth - have it raised rather than dug in, there are many ways around the cable.
You'd have thought she would have asked for the pipes etc layout before starting - or is that just me with my sensible head on tonight? You must be grinding your teefs now.
