It aint half hot Mum.

Remember this?!

A very old t.v. comedy.

Here and now it is 80 degrees Fahrenheit, 27 degrees celsius.  I do not like it.

On the way back from buying a car we went to the Prom.

People in the sea and on the beach.

Blackheaded Gulls in the sea.

Lesser Blackbacked on a rock.

Ladybird on the railings.

The beautiful sea.  Mackerel fishing boat.

It was a lot fresher by the sea.

So here it is - my new car.

A Kia Picanto.  Titanium, Grey in other words.  I f you want another colour you have to wait.  As I have had enough of not getting to grips with this buying a new car til now I just agreed to have this one.  They will tax it.

I couldn't fault the dealership.  I was given cold water to drink and a chair I could sit on with comfort.  After offers of tea, coffee, and everything fully explained.

My much beloved Fiat will be taken and I get 'scrappage' of £2000 off the new one.  Paid the deposit.  Back on Thursday to collect it.  In the meantime once I get the registration number off the garage I can insure it and pay the balance.

I refused a test drive.  Its a car and I have been driving a variety of cars, vans and lorries in the last 53 years.  I did sit in it and others.  But this one has the seat lift and steering wheel adapts to dwarfs driving it.  So apart from the pain of paying for it all we are done and dusted.  Hopefully this will stop the DP and the family nagging me.  Tho I doubt it.

Ooh, love a new car! I hope it lives up to expectations. My Primus Hybrid is going on 12 years old and I would love to replace it, although there is nothing wrong with it, just for the pleasure of having something spanking new!

Nice car. You did very well.

As I have said before, and will probably say countless more times. You really do take fantastic pictures.

God bless.

Sweet little car. The last four vehicles I bought I did not test drive though I did have the salesman explain the quirks of the Prius before I drove it off the lot. Two of the cars I did not see at all at the dealers until I had bought them and they were delivered there. Hope it does well for you.

The sea is truly beautiful. And your new car looks great. I hope you have years of pleasure and satisfaction driving it. And I hope your weather cools off.

I find car buying hard work - the only one (car) I saw and purchased myself was a 2CV we'd owned before and sold then felt bad. Several years later, just driving along the road - it was there with a sign in the window - she came home with us there and then.

Well done - a job well done and it sounds like it should tick all the boxes. Ours is pretty much a box on wheels (we go for utalitarian!) and I've known better suspenstion but we can fit a lot of boxes in the back with the seats down, which is the no. 1 priority!

Hope the heat doesn't knock you for 6 - it's hot here too and far too humid for my liking. I am going to have to do any walking and gardening at either ends of the day I think.

Great car, and peace of mind for you now. I hope you're managing to stay reasonably comfortable in the heat. X
