Grampian weather forecast - wrong again.

I read/check the forecast for the weather on Fraserburgh Beach regularly.  Sometimes every hour as it gets nearer to the time when I am going out.  I really do not know why I bother.

Today it was wind 19 mph.  No mention of rain.

No wind at all.

Great Black Backed Gull which is the largest of the Gulls in the middle.

Some of the smaller, Herring Gulls next in size and some juveniles of both.

There were lots and lots of Pied Wagtails.  But they are so quick and nippy, as you can see from this photo as one of its legs is blurred!

Then it rained.  Heavily.  Not forecast to arrive til 6 p.m......

So I came home.

Coffee in the shedudio with fellow artist Marie Buchan.  Marie Buchan Artist is her facebook page.  Well worth a look.

Always good to meet up with friends who are artists.  It is a solitary life being an artist.  One of the few artists who adorn my walls is Marie.

So - I have checked the weather for tomorrow.  It bodes well.  The DP and I have a meeting at 2 p.m. - a 'wash up for FASE 4 ' the forecast for that is stormy.

The weather promises a sunny, wind free walk on the Prom, after the meeting.  I will let you know if either forecast was right.

I feel that the weather accuracy is heavily southern-centric..... I've noticed the further north the less correct and we are in Lancashire! We were told by a Skye local that they listen to the Norwegian fishing weather report as it was always more accurate and when we stayed in Uist, the radio stations also used the Norwegian reports.
It is always a pleasure when a fellow artist arrives for coffee, one of the pleasures of my studio too :)
