First Challenge was revisit our favourite cafe. I avoid cafes and shops in case I pick up a chest infection. But as I already have one.....
They do a very good Cappucino.
I also bought some waterproof over trousers. The Dunes is not just a cafe but a golf shop. I had some of these trousers but as I have become shorter they are way too long!
We had gone here after the Prom. It was raining loads.
Through the windscreen.
Wet everywhere. And no-one else on the Prom.
Blackheaded Gulls.
Solitary Oystercatcher.
Some boat activity.
Challenges. One is to prune the roses in the front garden and the hydrangeas. Depends on the weather of course!
The big challenge is the DP wants me to go with him and the Photographic Society on one of their jaunts. This involves buying a wheelchair. Argos would you believe do a fold up lightweight one. Perfect.
Watch this space.

We know, like you the risks of mixing with people but we go out every day as staying in would drive both of us crazy, even if its just for a coffee. I guess that if you are going to pick up a germ there's not a lot to stop it, the dp could bring one in with him.
I think your decision to just get on with things is the right one.
I must say you look lovely in that photo.
Good luck with the pruning. I took the opportunity to prune ours in the dark the other night(with the outside light on) the first time it was not raining or windy. I know, I'm mad, lol

Good for you, Jill. That cappuccino looks delcious. I've been buying waterproof trousers today too, for Lily. That girl keeps on growing!
I'm glad the weather cleared enough for you to spend some time at the prom and I'm looking forward to seeing you enjoying your challenges. X
That's great news! Good for you!
That is one tasty looking cappuccino!
Jill you look so healthy in that picture. The oxygen and The coffee must be doing their job. Hope you continue to feel better. Jean from Manitoba Canada
Good for you Jill. Life is about living not just surviving, something many of us need reminding of as we spend our days worrying about doing chores, shopping and so on. Your biggest challenge is walking along the prom in all weathers and you conquer that one. As we get older, we need to rejoice in what we can do, not get upset by what we can't do. Whatever age we are, challenging ourselves makes us get ahead, and feel good about what we have achieved. I look forward to reading more about your challenges.
Love that jumper you have on it looks really cosy. I think it will do you good to get out and about a bit even though you might feel tired afterwards. A challenge is as good as a rest (did I just make that up?)xx
You are looking good and sounding so much better ! I'd say it's the new lipstick !!!
Getting out and about sounds like a good plan
I agree with the other comments. You could pick up a bug through your DP going out, so you may as well get out a bit more and enjoy yourself.
Good for you!
Well done you setting yourself these challenges, the best of luck with them.
You do look good and the water (and , I imagine, wind) proof trousers are a great idea.
Brilliant! How exciting, you go girl!
Good on you, Jill. I am so pleased that you feel well enough to go out for a coffee and it looks like you enjoyed the outing too. I hope you get a wheelchair that you can take in the car without too much difficulty. I have a friend who uses a wheelchair and he has one that folds up and actually fits in a smallish wheeled travel case so is easy to take anywhere. I hope you enjoy some more outings.
I’d fully agree - it’s that new lippy 💄😉 x
