At last!

The DP was away early this morning to meet up with other bird watchers in Aberdeen and then off to the Isle Of May in the Firth of Forth.

So I had to make my own breakfast.  Load up the dishwasher.  All things he does with ease. Ha - I huff and puff, hang on to kitchen surfaces, do deep breathing.  Also emptied the washing machine and tumble dried stuff.  I know I shouldn't use the tumble dryer but I then  do not have to iron.  I also dragged down the the shedudio the smaller of the 2 Dysons we have, a cylinder? effort.  Vacced the wooden floor in the shedudio.  At one point I was convinced I was going to die.  I had nowhere to sit, so used the sink surface down there to regain control of my breathing.

I then went and bought a paper and some wine.  I had some but the DP did not, wasnt that kind of me!  I did think about doing my walk then.  But - no way.

In the afternoon the vinyl floor fitters arrived and laid the floor.  Lovely chaps.  Made them coffee, almost a serious accident as I got up on a kitchen chair and back down again .  The DP can reach the top shelf in the wall cupboards, but I can't.  And that's where the sugar was.

While the fitting was going on the double glazing joiner appeared.  Problems with the replacement window.  Sorted.  He will be back with the replacement.  Exciting int it.

So here you go.  At last the shedudio is floored, walled.  Just have to now make it into a proper studio/gallery.

Well pleased.

As I took these photos the rain came on.

Bouncing.  But another day we do not have to water the pots!  The downside is that the garage has probably flooded again.  But the joiner is to give us a quote for a new roof.

Hoping tomorrow to make a start on the moving back in.  The wall hanging stuff for the paintings is now ordered.  Whoooooo.

I love the look of that studio/gallery. I wish I lived near enough to come and see your first exhibition.

The floor is absolutely PERFECT! Bet you can't wait for DP to get back home to see it.

Looks beautiful. I am sure you will enjoy painting in there even more now. Wish I could have something like that but our garden isn't big enough. Will have to make do with a small conservatory which we have but at the moment is full of hubby's stuff. He's supposed to sort it out by the end of the month. we will see.

Isn't it nice when you make a plan, get help in to do the work and see it begin to all come together. It's worth all the hanging around waiting for it all to get sorted out and things moving along.
