A strange day..

Trying to understand how so many people have died.  And the reasons coming out in the news is even more upsetting as it needn't have happened.  Greed from contractors, no-one checking the fire alarms, the sprinklers not working and the cladding not being fire resistant, one staircase in and out, filled with smoke, they didnt stand a chance.  The law proposed for landlords to be made to ensure the safety of their residents was voted out by the Tories, many of whom are landlords.

Deep breath, which is rather difficult at the moment!

The shedudio is now empty.

The larger items of furniture are out on the patio, covered by a tarpaulin.  We had help to move the chest of drawers from a dear friend, my framer !  I hadnt realised just how much I had shoved into those drawers as the move became imminent.  So the DP and our friend had to take the drawers out before moving the chest. And it took two of them to carry said drawers.  Whoops.

The DP is off tomorrow on a birding jaunt.  All that is left for me to do is haul the wee Dyson down, which is on wheels, and vac the interior of the shedudio.  Then hopefully the new vinyl flooring will be laid in the afternoon.  Then we have to reverse the whole procedure and move back in again.  Seeing the kitchen, under the stairs and the dining room crammed with all my stuff makes me wonder why I ever started this. (Or where it al came from.) But I wont have to do it again!

As a break the DP joined me on my walk this afternoon.

Very humid, very warm.  So difficult to draw breath.

Lots of leaning over the railings, note the pursed lips, that's how you regain control.  Breathe in through the nose and then pursed lips out.  It works.  After a while.

As you can see quite overcast.  Heavy man.

These two dogs were loving being in the sea.  Just look at the ears of the Golden Labrador shaking off the wet!

And the usual Gull Gang.  Tide almost full so out at sea.

Which one does sometime think that's where some of the politicians inhabit.  Not on this earth that's for sure.

My heart breaks for those people in the London fire. I'm a landlord and I willingly abide by all rules and regulations; not only for my tenants but for my own sense. You can have all the rules and regulations you want but there are always going to be people who do not abide by these rules. Liability on the part of the owner is huge in this case. Lawsuits waiting to be filed for sure for their incompetence.

We've watched the evening news and noticed very little if not non-existent input from our ruling party regarding the tragic events. .... so so sad.
On a different note, the photo of you peeping over your sunnies had me chuckling.

I know. I tried not to think about it, and blogged about wool. It didn't work. If I think about it too much I'll get too angry. Your shedudio will be back to normal soon, a wee haven. Take care, xx
