Nothing is safe!

The Dawn Patroller has a new toy.

An incinerator.  Well, you cant put twiggy things on the compost.  This way you still get the good stuff to put on the garden.  As you can see there is a clear space around this smoking thing so he spent the rest of the afternoon scrutinising every bush and tree to see if it had bits that needed to be burnt.

I banned him from snooping round the inside of the Summer Hoose.

Art class in the morning where I continued my attempt at reflections.  The yellow/creamy  bits are masking fluid.  You slosh it on where you either want it to stay white, or you can do a colour wash all over except for the bits you have masked.  It peels off, which is one of those silly things I find pleasing.

The afternoon I had a go with acrylics as opposed to water colour.

Neither finished, so neither is safe and may yet go to feed the new toy.

Wishing him lots of fun with his new toy. Can you smoke fish by sitting it on top of the funnel?? Like your new painting by the way, xx

It's a bit near the wooden fence, isn't it?
We wait with baited breath for the finished picture. You said it was in acrylics, not charcoal!!
Love from Mum

The ash is great around hostas - slugs hate it.

I'd forgotten about masking fluid ! Used to love using it. I want one of those bins... tried to have a bonfire with dried up twigs from nearly dead Rosemary bush in an old tin bath on Sunday !
