Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head.

If just one person says, "The garden needs it, " I will scream.

The garden does not look any happier than I do.

Birds Foot Trefoil.

I have yet to see a hare. These two are from pictures Mike took this morning. As he gets up at 5.30.a.m. its doubtful I ever will see one 'in the flesh'.

This one is sitting in the middle of a field of Barley.

The farmers have been cutting their hay and I watched them taking the bales off to their barns late yesterday. I should have known that was a clear sign we were to get rain.

The combine harvesters are being brought out and parked up ready for the harvest, but as you can see from the picture above the barley is nowhere near ready to be cut. Too green. Needs more sun, as I do.

The hare below just reminds me of children skipping along the road. Not sure why as it has four legs and most children only have two.

But its a picture that makes me smile.

I will try very, very hard to stop being a grumpy old woman.

We are much drier here but we still have people saying "Ooh the garden could do with some rain - let's hope we get rain soon." I just want to shout "NO!!! Water the garden if you think it needs it but don't wish for rain"
Love
