A rant.

On Wednesday the Gardener and mate came and cut the grass.  We had a discussion about some weed clearing and I was told they would be back in the afternoon.  They didnt appear, nothing new there.  Friday evening as we were eating our dinner they appeared.

The instructions had been to concentrate on goose grass, cow parsley and brambles.  In the picture above there are quite clearly brambles still there.

And grass and Dandelions.  Elsewhere there is goosegrass.

The bed above I had expressly said to leave, other than removing cow parsley and goosegrass, as I wanted to work out which plants to save when we eventually scopped everything out to get rid of the Bishops weed.  An Oriental Poppy completely gone.  But still left a clump of Bishops Weed?????  Really?

The same bed.  With strategically left clumps of said Bishop weed.  And grass.

And the mess on the patio.......

Everywhere I look there are brambles, goose grass.  Tops of the Big ornamental plant that the birds love gone, the gardeners thought it was rhubarb.....

I am so angry.  We had our evening meal constantly interrupted as I was asked if this was a weed.  Most often it wasnt.  But then I am not asked when they completely destroy something that obviously isnt a weed.

Then I am given the bill.

I shall pay it.  But I shall tell them in no uncertain terms not to return.

Hmmm Are you sure they actually were gardeners? I hope you find someone else who knows which are weeds!

Sorry Jill - they are not gardeners! If they can't identify brambles, goose grass and rhubarb ... there must be someone else available, surely!

Hello. Just read your blog as I saw it in Weave's blog list. Re the Gardeners, I would have told them to leave as they came back at an inconvenient time of the day as you were in the middle of dinner and no hope at all of being out there with them.
