A much better day.
Sunshine, hardly any wind, lovely.
Good to see a calm sea and the Gull Gang in their usual place.
Eyes half closed facing into the sun.
Oystercatchers nodding off.
Out at sea this fishing boat has come out of the harbour and is now swinging round to head off Northwards.
Kessock Burn with the Dunes behind.
Progress on the canvas.
A beautiful sunset to end the day.
Now do you remember the saga of the fence?
The last lot of damage. To remind you we had a lovely hedge there, that got destroyed and was replaced by the fence. This is now the third time it has been damaged and we have repeatedly paid out for it to be fixed. This last time was at the end of August and I was so fed up I contacted the council to come and look and advise us what to do to prevent further damage. I heard on an email that our request was 'Live'. Since then nothing. I have emailed at least twice to ask what is happening and had no response.
This evening we had a phone call from the Council saying we had to remove the rocks we had placed, in desperation, in front of the fence. We still have not had the fence repaired, waiting for the council to come and advise......This was explained to the man from the council.
They are coming out.
Meanwhile my 70 year old husband is removing the stones tomorrow. Apparently someone has complained.
Happy Christmas.
I just hope he doesnt injure himself as I would have to go into a care home. Aaaaaaaargh. (After I have wrapped my chariot round the councils neck.)

Give them both barrels Jill - the Council (as Councils are everywhere) are a load of numpties!
Love the photos, as always, and your Oystercatcher painting is a delight.
How on earth does somebody run into your fence, are you on a corner? Do you think that it may be a deliberate act? What a nuisance as councils are often very slow to do anything. Hoping you find a solution.
Must be very frustrating, the continual damage.
I almost know your stretch of beach as well as our own little bit - lovely to see it day by day. The canvas is coming on well - I like long paintings.
Well what can you say about the council - it seems they can only get in touch quickly when they have something to say. I would seriously consider getting your local MP involved - that is what they are there for.
Are the stones on your land or Council land?
If it's private property ,the council won't lift a finger. You have to find out yourselves (by usng a camera or involving the police) who's doing the damage, and Sue him. Whoever is behind the damage is trying to tell you that there shouldn't be a fence there. Perhaps it's a neighbor.
Anyway, this is not a matter for emails. Your husband should go in person to the council to clarify things, before deciding on further steps. Good Luck!
