Pre Christmas Drivel.

Exercises done.  Tick.  Prom.  Tick.

It being Sunday, which is dog walking day, so not a lot going on bird wise.  Tide on its way out.  I walked and stopped to breathe.  Quite pleasant though cold, but then it is December.  No wind.  Bit annoyed there was a Police Car in one of the disabled spaces, with plenty vacant spaces around.

The Golden Horn, the beacon at the entrance to the harbour.

Now this is a Common Gull.  When you see Gulls massed in a field they are usually Common Gulls.  This one was on the beach.  Smaller than a Herring Gull.  Eye colour different, and legs, pale grey.  Pointy beak.  First one I have seen and snapped.

Now all the boats are into the harbour for Christmas.

All decorated and lit up.

The last couple of nights we have had this wee cat appear at the dining room patio door.

As you can see from the bowl we have fed her.  I have put her onto facebook to see if she is having us on and has a home or not!  She certainly cleans the bowl.

We seem to be getting sorted re the hedge etc.  We will be contacting our tree man to see what he advises.  Thoughts are as the roots would be massive to dig up to chainsaw the bushes off at ground level.  We then intend to knock the walls down in front of the house, as they have also been damaged over the years and they fall on someone - bad.  Then a simple low fence.  Inside which will be a Beech hedge.  After Christmas......

The DP has been busy in the kitchen.  Mince Pies, Puddings etc.  He got so far in front of himself we had our evening meal an hour earlier than usual!  But that meant we could watch a taped Midsomer Murders all the way through!!

The Lion progresses - having a bad hair day.

Have a good Christmas everyone, this is for those who will close down for Christmas.  I will be probably be back tomorrow with some more drivel.

Merry Christmas to you and the DP! Here in Illinois, we almost feel like spring with daily temps in high 40 degrees and looking like Christmas Day will be rainy. Very weird weather for us this time of year......Beautiful kitty...Maybe Sithcat has a friend....:)

I'm glad you got a walk and some sea air properly today. I loved all the Christmas lights on the fishing boats in the harbour. Didn't know they did that.

Bless you for feeding the wee cat. December is always the month that finds them out as there is so little about for them to scavenge.

Glad you have the hedge plans in hand and someone trustworthy to help you with them.

Merry Christmas Jill and I'm looking forward to your jottings in the coming year.

I am watching Midsomer Murders too and am on season ten; I like knowing there are 10 more seasons. Those fishing boats look pretty with the lights and reflections.
