Still humid and horrible.

We had the lightning and thunder and rain.  But no fresher in the morning.  Back to hot, humid and heavy man.

I pay monthly insurances on our electrical stuff.  Today was the dishwasher - its seal was breaking up.  So the engineer arrived and we were then informed 'They'  had sent him the wrong part.  So be back on the 24th.  Really?  Yes.  At least he wore a mask.

My friend and fellow artist visited in the afternoon.  She had had the power cut, we had not, so had had to set alight the woodburner stove to get a cup of coffee.  Pan on the top.  Way too hot for the stove!  The power cut meant she could not have a shower.  I did offer her ours.....  All the doors and windows open in the Shedudio but still hot and sticky.

Prom visit after that.

Lovely boats.

A bay swimmer.

Our award winning beach.

Now I have shown you pictures of the surf school.  Well they are coming on really well.  Talking to one of the Mums she was telling me they had been to school, come out and wanted to come down to the beach.

Says it all does it not.

Nice to end this post upbeat.

Don't they look happy? Good to see.

Fed up with the humidity too. Did a short woodland walk by the river (further up the valley) yesterday and that did for me afterwards. I've had to take extra puffs of my inhalers (up to max now) and extra anti-histamines too. Only thing that really helps. Last night's thunderstorm didn't really help matters though it IS raining this morning. It's so humid that when we walk on the old quarry tiles in the hall, we leave wet footmarks!

I love seeing girls engaged in sport. Let's hope they can carry that enthusiasm through their teenage years and into adulthood. (F)

Funnily enough this hot weather has not affected Tom, its the damp, humid air that makes him worse so am not looking forward to the storms predicted.
He does not sweat much but I on the other hand sweat like a pig so have been a grump this last week.
Wouldn't I love to get back in the sea again, we were on the beach most days when the kids were young and used to swim long distances. I think we would both keel over now, that's if we could manage to get down to the waters edge walking over the stones, lol
Hope you are well, will blog again soon.

I gave up with insurance for my appliances when 'they' sent the wrong part, then 'they' sent a damaged part. Six weeks without a washing machine was not a lot of fun. I hope you're not waiting too long for your dishwasher. X

Our dishwasher gave up the ghost in early July. Researched a good model. Ordered it on July 5th. Still waiting. So far the delivery has been rescheduled four times, Now they say it will be delivered this Sunday. Not holding my breath. Noticed if one tried to order it today, it shows it as on backorder until late October. Have a feeling that might be when ours shows up.

Its great to see youngsters enjoying the great outdoors instead of stuck at home in front of a screen.
