Mist and murk.

Struggling day.

Gull Gang despite jet skis.

People sit in this and get towed by the Jet ski.  Yes they fall out.  Mad.

Today's boats.  Last one is new and is a support boat for the new wind farm at sea.

Surf School.

Early this morning our friend one of the grounds men at the golf course found a body.  Just over from Tiger Hill on the course.

When you dial 999 here you have the option of the Coastguard.  Who then proceeded to co-ordinate the action taken.  T our friend had told them there was no pulse but they had to summon ambulance, police etc.  He was still shaken.  The air ambulance landed on the beach.  Landing on the golf course was forbidden by the Greenkeeper in charge but our friend led the Police round through the rough to the body.  The beach was  nearby.

Brings you up short does it not.

Juvenile Great Spotted Woodpecker has a drink in our garden.

We've had 4 bodies washed up here during the hot weather, they go out in inflatables and get taken out with the current, then can't get back.
If you are not born by the sea and grown up with it you don't know the danger.
Love the woodpecker.
