So the carer was booked for 8 a.m. breakfast. The DP departed just before 7 a.m.
As no-one had appeared by 9 a.m. I managed to cobble together my breakfast. Mainly to take pills that had to be taken within a certain time after eating.
10.05 the carer appeared. I explained that as I had heard nothing from 'the office' as to who was going to come I had thought no-one was and had eaten breakfast.
She said she would be there for lunch. And was.
I loaded up the chariot into the car and was away to the Prom.
It was very hot and humid. Not many people on the beach. Which was surprising given the weather and it being a Sunday. I had a choice of two Blue Badge parking spaces too. I walked.
An approaching dog sent the Gulls off the beach.
Following a beach clean this morning this was the magnificent haul.
So good that people do this. So bad they have to.
Back home and I fed the birds outside the Shedudio. Knackered by this time. But rewarded by a juvenile Great Spotted Woodpecker.
Then there was the long wait for the DP to return home.
We are both concerned at the non delivery of my respite care and he is giving careful consideration to any more away days or parts of he wants to do. Such a shame when it was offered to us, not requested by us, bloody stupid. And I shall say so.

A change is in view.
Since the beach cafe went under new management it has been a roaring success. Which is good. Not just for them but our town and tourists visiting. The down side for me is I am unable to park in any of the bays for the disabled. I got parked today but in an ordinary space which is not wide enough for me to extricate the chariot. Without which I cannot walk far which is the main reason for going to the Prom - exercise, as well as vitamin D and Sea.
So I managed out of the car to the railings.
Not a good photo, some sort of trawler. Beam or scallop.
Sailing boat heading for the rocks by Cairnbulg Beacon.
And that was it. One fed up old lady. Who then had to get to back to the car - feeling a failure.
So. Plan A is to work out my daily routine and alter it if possible and go to the Prom at a different time. At the moment I go at 1p.m. Which is lunchtime for many people. From 2 - 4 p.m. I am in the shedudio. Bearing in mind mornings are much of a no no as with or without carer it takes most of the morning to be up, washed and dressed. Hey ho I will think of something.
First I have tomorrow to get through. The DP is escaping with the Photographic Society. I have booked a carer to do my breakfast and later my lunch. I was told I would be phoned with the name of the person who would be coming. Well I haven't had a phone call. So bit stressed about that but I am sure I will survive.

Midsummers Day.
How we have grown!
Four children, 3 partners and 6 grandchildren.
39 years ago the DP and I were married. In a registry office. As my father had recently died we let my Mother organise the reception to keep her occupied. A born organiser my Mother. If she could not organise you she deffed you in. Which she eventually did. She missed so much. Bittersweet.
I went to the Prom to reflect.
A beautiful day. And I walked.
We had a Chinese take away from our nearest village, so the DP did not have to cook.
A good day.
I still have my wedding dress. In the evening of our wedding day we had a fancy dress party at the village hall in Bretton, near Wakefield. Bretton now has a sculpture park which some of my followers have visited.
Everyone dressed up as a character from A Midsummer's Night Dream. We even had a wall!
Wonderful memories and a wonderful life together for 39 years. Nae bad.

Tired out I am.
Breathing in the humidity this morning was difficult. That tires one out. The DP has bought me a hand held fan today, which really helps.
Made it to the Prom at which point the heavens opened and there was a heavy downpour. This stopped as suddenly as it had started so I got out out of the car. To the railings.
Views from leaning on the railings. You can see where the rain is falling.
Two of the regular small boats.
The Garden Design. Bearing in mind this was to provide me with access to more of the garden I am not that impressed with all the steps. Yes we have a sloping garden from the house downwards to the fence, but I dont have to go that way. The wildlife pond is wanted. Some of the seating areas are not for me. Anyway we will discuss with a landscaper or three to get some idea of costs for the bits we do want. And also ask if instead of steps we can have sloping paths. The terrible writing 'house' 'studio' were done by me - for you all to help you understand where everything is. Lots to think about and discuss.
But interesting to have a fresh eye.
Dyson and Mrs Dyson brought three chicks into the garden today. One chick is out of shot, there is always one.....
Earlier our lovely neighbour from across the field, also our car repairer, appeared with a bag full of cooked crabs. Velvet crabs no less. He had been out with a mate and emptied his pots. Cooked them then got fed up of getting the meat out so thought of me! Fridge full. He is sending the kids round to take some of our rhubarb. All good.
Last nights sunset. It hasnt set yet tonight. Longest day tomorrow. Then the day begins to shorten. Special day for us tomorrow. See you then.

Windy Wednesday.
Not a big wind just the gusts every now and then which shook me.
So not many photos as it was difficult to hold the camera steady.
My friend and fellow artist came for a visit and a catch up this afternoon. I am now totally exhausted from talking.
Jackdaw. Watching me watching you. Thugs they are.
Goldfinches having fun on the teasels.
Our garden designer is back with us tomorrow with her plans for making more of the garden accessible for me and the chariot. I must remember not to talk a lot.

Tuesday
Is the day my carer comes to clean and moisturise me from head to toe. Phone call to say running late due to staff sickness. So instead of 10 a.m. it was after 11. I am only little so all done in half an hour. Hope they are sorted by Sunday as I have booked a respite carer so the DP can have an off day. So someone will be getting me my breakfast and then my lunch. Fingers crossed.
After lunch I made it to the Prom.
Our beautiful bay.
High tide.
Just look at that clear clean sea. No wonder we have an award this year again.
Lots of lovely lobsters. We have quite a few fish shops in Fraserburgh. Can't get fresher fish, lobsters, crabs and scallops. And more. We also have restaurants - many - that prepare for our delectation. Lucky. Pity restaurants are full of people with infections so I cant go.....
I made it to the railings and breathed. Been a nice day. Some rain but managed to avoid getting wet.
This evening I watched this young Goldfinch eating Nyga seeds placed by the DP on our teasels. I have now engendered a debate on whether this is learned behaviour or instinctive on the North East Scotland Wildlife Facebook page. Apparently it is instinctive after research on Weaver birds who were isolated from their peers and still wove! Stuff you learn on facebook. That's why I do it.
Now waiting for the sun to set - 20 to 10. So here is last nights.
Land of the Big Sky.
Goodnight.
