Bit of a struggle day.

Humidity not good for breathing.  Boris et al not good for stable mentality.

I walked on the Prom today.  Yes it was a struggle.  Rain and wind.  But I did it.

Deserted beach with lots of weed - mounds of it.  Bit smelly too.

Surf school.  Lots more kids arriving as we left.  Chatted to the Mums who come down every day.

Just look at that sky.

The Fisher men are brave.

This evening the DP had a zoom meeting with the Photographic Society which went ok despite my interruptions one asking him to close his office door, I am surprised you couldnt hear him.  And a request for him to put another log on the wood burner as I - on oxygen- am not allowed so to do.

Barbara I am well aware I should not meet another indoors.  My Shedudio is indeed 'indoors'  but we are 2 metres apart.  It is not my home.  The doors are open and fresh air circulates with the wind if nothing else.  I am not shielding any more.  I am also exempt from wearing a mask though I do even though it can do dreadful things to me.  No one else just me.  If I did not have any social chat I would rather be dead and to be honest Barbara.  I really have had enough and am stopping blogging.

I hear what you are saying and I understand as well as I can from your blog what your struggles are. I only commented because you seemed to be asking if it was allowed to meet indoors, which it is not. We make our own choices and if you write yours on your blog, then your readers will engage in the conversation. I won't bother you with my own situation, which is also difficult, and I wish you well. Barbara.

Do NOT stop blogging. You need to keep writing it and I need to keep reading it every day as usual! Your blog is quite unique. It is a life affirming kind of blog. Your feisty attitude would be truly missed.

Wow, what a wild sky.

I am glad that you got a bit of a walk on the Prom, just be careful and don't over do it.

God bless.

Please don't stop blogging, Jill, well not unless it doesn't help you to get your thoughts down anymore. As Barbara has said, yes we all make our own choices and they are personal to us. We're all entitled to have an opinion, of course, but sometimes opinions are best kept to ourselves. I love your red coat, and your indomitable spirit in keeping going on the prom, come rain or shine.

Jill, blogging is an outlet. Those of us who use this outlet need it, and it isn't just the writing - we need the reading to. It's knowing there are other normal people out there, people who are not in the news, neither celebrity nor tail-covering politicians, people who live a version of a normal life and can give us a window on a part of the world removed from our own, people who feel and who worry and who find small joyous moments to share. I love your badgers, your art, your strand (which yesterday got me thinking about all the gardens that seaweed could enrich), your garden and your big sky. Please don't stop blogging. F

Don't stop blogging please - your photos of the sea and the birds are the only way I'm going to see your bit of Scotland.

Well done in getting out for a walk when the weather was so obviously not being very co-operative.

I hope you don't stop blogging to. I enjoy the photos and the way you tackle life despite your health issues. We must all do as we see fit and I know that you wouldn't take any unnecessary risks. Mental health is important too and you need to set yourself right on that level as well.

You do look like you are getting blown around in that first picture! Good for you that you still went out to the Prom. I think you should continue blogging when it suits you. I enjoy your posts and especially like your photos of the Prom. Hope you feel well enough to continue blogging! Thanks!

Don't stop blogging, it is a great outlet for you to write it and share your day with us, and I enjoy seeing your paintings of birds and the shore, and seeing your walks along the shore. This social isolating is discouraging. I am sending you hugs from California where I walk along the Pacific Ocean.

In Switzerland where l reside we are rather an independent mountain folk and many of my peers 70+ do fairly much what they want indoor/outdoor ... a half a mile from where l live another canton (province) starts with no masks in stores whereas where l live you have to have them. Country-wide in public transport its required, but overall its all rather “you decide” as opposed to Germany where l just spent a week with a group aged between 65 to 85 ...there
strangers relish the ability to tell you to keep your 1.5 meter distance whereupon we say “ We’re Swiss and you should get a Life ! “
