May is the chest infection month.

Facebook sends you memories of the past on this day and there are every day it seems chest infections.  So guess what I got.  A chest infection.  Fortunately I have antibiotics and steroids in house.

My painting is not going well.

That white blob is a bird.  I think I may have to start the whole thing again.  I have a clear idea of what I want to do but it is not coming out as it should. I will try painting over the bird and restart that first.

I think I will have a go at painting this last one.

Rheum Palmatum

Brought from our previous house and split into three.  All doing well.  The rude looking spikes turn into a plume of flowers.  Impressive.

Fantastic weather.  Almost hot, no wind and all day sunshine.

I am attempting a painting of the header photo.

Try not to laugh.

The DP continues to injure himself.  This time chopping wood.  The axe got stuck, so he hit it with a hammer which fell on his foot splitting it open.  Not getting better after a week.  Phoned the G.P.  Appointment made.  He has to ring the back door bell.  He had a mask on.  Had his temperature took.  If it had been high he would have been hospitalised.  The times I say to him tell them you are my main carer and he never does.  So 2 lots of antibiotics, back on Thursday and then next week.  Foot to be raised when sitting and no long walks.  It doesnt hurt.

While he was at the doctors I was at the deserted Prom.

A Beam Trawler.

The Gull Gang.

Tiger Hill.

I walked.

Monday

We have a slot for ASDA.  Still no recognition of me being vulnerable.  See how we go.

Painting.

Sky done on the canvas.  Even with using a ruler for the horizon I still need to correct!

Prom walk.  Chatted at a distance with my foot lady.  Also my Senior care manager.  Normally I see no-one I know other than other regular walkers.  We pass each other at the required distance and shout 'Alright?'

And breathe.  Walk done.  Sorted physical and mental.

Greenfinch returning to us.  Now three.  All healthy.

Tesco update.

Our first online delivery will be on Friday.  The next ONLY available slot is the 26th.
So much for keeping us out of the shops.

We have given feedback.  Watch this space.

Looks as if everyone but the oldies are to be allowed more freedom.

Join with me in the rebellion.  I have had enough.

Todays deserted Prom.  No need to socially distance.  Yes I drove to exercise. 3 miles but I have chariot and oxygen bottle to transport.  And letter from GP which Police asked me to get....

Just for you all to watch.

Where I live.  Scroll down the boring bits and there is a video.

I think it is Saturday.

But not sure.

Thrown a bit by the postie delivering and I thought they were stopping Saturday deliveries.  My attendance allowance has increased.  I expect the grass cutting to do the same so.....

Also got this which made me tearful.

Not another soul at the Prom.  Plugged into the oxygen and marched up and back again.

More painting and the photos above give me more inspiration.

A Song Thrush on top of the Telegraph pole.  We have a pair visiting the garden.  Plenty nest space so fingers crossed.

Had a lovely chat to a chap from the help line for us oldies.  Food boxes will be sorted out and if the Tesco delivery goes ok I have to text STOP BOXES.

So a fairly positive day.  Not helped by confusing messages on every news bulletin from the government.

Friday.

Path man and sidekick came.  Impressed with professional approach.  3-4 weeks wait as they have a back log getting to grips with restrictions.  Quote given and accepted.  Feeling good to have something happening.

As something happened to not deliver our food parcel, reported and yet again got the response from the help number we will get back to you.... So another essential visit to the supermarket.  It was raining.  So I didnt walk.  I do not go into the supermarket the DP does with mask on.  I sit in the car and people watch.

Beginnings of my landscape painting.  Not really into landscapes but as this is one of my favourites I hope to do it justice.

Negative comments - you will not change me so may as well pack it in.  Carry on fine.  I will carry on deleting you.
