Keeping on keeping on.

As we have yet another supermarket delivery cancelled, this time ASDA, just what are we doing wrong????  The DP was away to shop.  But I got a treat as did the garden.  Someone suggested Lavender for the new planters and the supermarket had some grown like small trees.

Given a good soak the DP is out again tomorrow and will hopefully get some compost so we can plant them in the troughs.  Currently in there to prevent them blowing way.  We have strong winds.  We also had some rain but then a sunny afternoon.  I also like the idea from K.J.Sutcliffe for other herbs in there that smell to the touch.  Which reminds me I haven't seen Lemon Balm for some time.  The new planters go well with the existing ones.

My walk and what I saw.

No social distancing required.  Too cold and windy for most.

2011

Ah memories.

Its a mad mad world.

So I will try and maintain my sanity.

Early afternoon painting.  The Oystercatchers get grounded.  The Geese more background.  I am loving the Geese.

Outside the Shedudio are ornamental Cherries.  This is one.

Fast losing its blossom in the strong wind.

Then my happy place.

No people = plenty birds.

There were two surfers.

The DP was at the doctors with his foot again.  He has been and will have 3 visits a week for it to be checked.  Improved.  Back on Wednesday.  Both of us very pleased at the improvement.  For him to have so many appointments made me think this was serious....

Our nearest Garden Centre sends details of what they have in.  You can phone, order and pay and then delivery is made.  So here is my new accessory to my patio.  Two planters with a bench between. In the bag the screws and instructions for affixing the bench.  Then need to decide what to plant that doesnt poke you in the ribs.  Any suggestions?

No more.

SCOTLAND.  Our leader although not of my political bent has far more sense and intelligence and oh just everything more than that twerp in Westminster.

We are now allowed to go out and exercise more than once following the usual  distancing etc.  That is it.  ENGLAND  under Boris mad man appear to be heading straight back into an increased pandemic.  Which means more people ill and dying and the National Heath Service collapsing so its easy pickings for Trump.

I really have had enough and have decided I will control my own destiny as far as I am able.  I may not have long in this world as my COPD is incurable and my lungs continue to disintegrate.  So what I have left I am going to live it on my terms.   I shall keep my distance, wear a mask when in a crowded space, having said that I have avoided crowded spaces, shops, cafes etc for far longer than this pandemic beginning.

I have to exercise to keep what I physically have working and not just collapse. Then I would be a burden on the NHS.   I need to exercise for my mental health also.  The place that is safe for me to do that exercise is the Prom which is a short drive.  I carry in the car my three wheel walker containing my oxygen supply. Late afternoon it is rare I see another person at the Prom.  I fail to see where the damage that causes to anyone else.  Yes I could have an accident, I could break down but I am well prepared for either of those events and really would we ever go anywhere in normal life if we thought what might happen if I drive?

I have agreed to shell out some considerable money for more paths in the garden so I can tramp up and down in safety but its weeks before the builders can begin.  And I need the sea air and sight of the sea and the birds.

So today after the snow stopped though the wind still blew and it was very cold that is where I went. To the Prom.  And I will be there tomorrow and the next day and thereafter.

Cue trolls and Holier than thou comments......

Look at any of these photographs and relax.

Earlier at home I painted.

From my photographs taken while at the beach or on the way home.

Back home in the garden life goes on.  Baby Pheasants will come.

We all have a right to choose our own destiny.  I hope I get some respect for my choice as I respect yours.

I do however apologise for what may seem like a rant but really No More.

A better day.

At last.  Perhaps its my chest infection clearing.  But I just felt better.  Mentally too.

The weather was not better.  Still warm ish but wet.  Gardens and fields need this so I am not complaining.

Although I did get marooned for a while down the Shedudio!

Dyson came to say hello.

I cracked on with adding another Oystercatcher and began the geese I photographed yesterday

Tesco cancelling our delivery has done us some favours as we had to shop - again.

So just over the road is the Prom.

The Gull Gang in their favourite place where the Kessock Burn enters the sea.

Turnstones having a wash and brush up in the Burn.

Snails on the wet rocks.

I had a good walk.  Feel so much better then as I have achieved exercise and my mind is balanced from the sea and the birds.  A wee chat with the paddle surfer at a proper distance helped too.  Just talking to someone else is wonderful in this time.  Then the rain came down with a vengeance so we came home.

Frustrating Friday.

Phoned the surgery this morning to reorder antibiotics and steroids which I have in house just in case.  I am nearing the end of the pills and normally have no problem.  But I expect they are short staffed so someone had to phone me back.  They did and I did not get to the phone in time.  So I phoned and explained and they said she would still phone me.  So I had to hang about near the phone all day.

The DP had to shop as the Tesco delivery was cancelled for some reason.  So I drove and sat in the car park and people watched.

Then we went to look at the sea.

I walked to the railings and breathed and looked.

I didnt get my walk as waiting for the phone call from the surgery, then the shopping there wasnt time before we had to return and the DP make a curry.

On the way home I finally got photographs of the Geese which are new arrivals at the farm at the top of the lane.

More bird posing to paint.

Earlier I did paint.

I couldnt face painting more on the sea landscape.  Perhaps tomorrow!

Confusion .

England and Boris set to loosen the lock down.  Scotland extended the current lock down for another 3 weeks.  TESCO cancelled our delivery and we do not know why.  They still don't acknowledge that I am vulnerable.  So the DP has to go shopping tomorrow.

He had his second visit to the doctor with his foot, well he couldn't really leave it behind....
Cellulitis.  Antibiotics not kicked in yet.  He has another appointment on Monday. But if it worsens over the weekend he has to ring 111.

So while he was at the doctors I was walking the Prom.  There were six other cars today and all contained people getting out and walking.  We all self distanced and more.

I got some sea birds posing for painting.

Some boat activity.

Havent had a wonky video for some time.  So here is one from today.

Earlier I had another go at the painting.

G0t rid of the awful bird and darkened the sea.  Now its wonky but I can sort that.  Hey
ho.

Good night.
