Better weather - tomorrow.
Still windy - and wet.
I waited for the rain to stop and then managed to get to the railings.
Two Surfers were having fun.
High tide.
Lots of Turnstones. And a Blackheaded Gull.
Back home. Cosy inside. Horrible outside.
More Tulips and began the wash on the Puffins background.
Better weather tomorrow......
Just remembered I had these photos taken by James Alexander of catches from the small fishing boats.
Not a bad catch ! One small boat.

Still flipping windy.
I went to the Prom. It was windy. I left the chariot in the car and made it to the railings.
The sea was wild. The wind was wild. I took the photographs then it rained, heavily, so I went back to the car. Opened the car window and breathed.
Back home and to the Shedudio. The DP had lit the stove. So was cosy.
A fair bit of painting.
The white Clematis. Name has gone. Opening, smothered in buds.
The Pink one. Montana? Also masses of buds.
Over the wooden arch. Again masses of buds. Never seen so many on this plant.
Other things in the garden, Allium, Paeonies. All ready to burst forth. I am thinking this is early?
Blackbirds with worms to feed their young already too.
Nature bursting forth. Wonderful. I might burst forth if this sodding wind would drop.

Almost a hurricane.
So windy! Gusting to over 30 mph. Hail, Ninja rain showers. 'Orrible.
Anchored myself to the railings, leaving the chariot in the car.
Wild sea.
There were two surfers.... Here is one.
The only bird I saw was this one in the car park.
I think I can see where I am going now with these two paintings. You will all be glad to know that!
The wood across the road from us. Lots more Bluebells this year, they are everywhere, even in our garden. Along all the verges. Beautiful.
The photographs from last night by the DP. Peanuts and red apple were supplied, then everyone froze to death waiting. But were well rewarded.
So, although I almost got blown away all told been a happy day.

The Full Monty - in reverse!
Put your hat on.... gloves, boots and thick coat. One weather extreme to another.
Windy, cold, showers, including hail, I walked.
No people, plenty Gulls. I like it.
Lesser Black Backed and Herring Gulls, Skurries.
Back home and in the Shedudio. Bird watching. Here we have from the left Siskin, Goldfinch and Lesser Redpoll.
Lesser Redpoll on the ground.
More on the Tulips. Tomorrow I am going to pull this one together. It is too bitty as is.
So, the DP is out tonight with some of the members of the Fraserburgh Photographic Society to the RSPB Loch of Strathbeg where they hope to see Badgers. Armed with peanuts and chopped apple. Hmm.
I was watching a very old Midsomer Murders when the interior roof of the woodburning stove fell down. Fortunately it was at the stage where it needed more wood, so I left it to burn out. This is the second time it has done this. The DP managed to fit the roof back. But I have now messaged our man who does stoves and he is coming tomorrow. Bless.
Progress on another front is our garden designer has sent her quote for drawing up plans etc. Her design brief is spot on so off we go. Exciting int it. Main point being I will have access to all the garden. At the moment I can access the Shedudio and back and thats it.
So the DP is back. They saw a Badger!
Sunset tonight.

A change in the weather.
Overcast and cool. Fine by me. No wind. So I walked.
Lobster boats inning and outing. Misty out at sea.
Not many people.
So plenty birds. Mostly Skurries and Lesser Black Backed Gulls.
Pair of Oystercatchers.
Stove lit.
The tulips I was painting have all lost their petals. I brought in some just opening and did a quick brush sketch before they did open.
Also started applying paint to my trio of Puffins.
The work in progress pile is growing . I must get a grip and finish something. The owl is about done..... But the tulips I must do before there are none left! I have taken photographs but you cannot beat painting from life. So I will crack on with them.
It doesnt matter what the weather does tomorrow now my lovely Shedudio is warm whatever the weather.
