Cataracts post - an apology.

Before you can start the driving test you must demonstrate that your eyesight is good enough to be able to drive safely. You do this by reading a clean number plate of the old style from a minimum distance of 20.5 metres (approximately 67 feet or 5 car lengths).

Tree Sparrow.

House Sparrow.

I can correctly identify both these birds for the same distance.

Had I not been visually able to drive the optician would have ( surgically ) removed my  car keys.  And further I hope never to be so irresponsible or to be accused of such.

Apologies for inflicting my exaggerations on you all , albeit to raise a smile, but also to   cheer me in the possibilities of  one day losing my independence.

I like your idea of having the car keys surgically removed. Being able to drive gives us precious freedom for sure. I never doubted you being a safe driver!
