Interlude.

Taking a break from blogging.  I have published anonymous's latest comment.  Worse than having  a Mother again.  Comment on my post A Good Day.

Cannot depart without sharing the Prom's latest ' Banksy.'

  1. Isn't that always the way? A few idiots spoil everything.

Enjoy your time away. Have no idea what he/she wrote but no doubt you need some breathing space.

  2. Sorry to hear that, Jill. Please don't let the nasty bitch drive you away for good. Take care, I enjoy your prom strolls, photos and paintings hugely.

  3. Anonymous is a person of quite extremely limited understanding and little empathy either. Do not let her drive you away. I assume it is a she, though perhaps not. You are a brave and wonderful person with many gifts which anonymous obviously lacks. Perhaps it is jealousy that drives her. Do not pay her any heed. Be well. I will miss you very much, as will so many others.

  4. Hope your interlude is not because of anonymous - I am sure she will get over it whatever her problem is.
In the meantime take care of yourself Jill and enjoy the prom - I will miss your photos and daily chit chat so come back soon - I may have to take a break soon myself...so much to do and so little time.
    see you soon. x

  5. She sounds like a "know it all". Generally they don't get most of it right.

    You should just ignore her!

  6. Please don’t go! It’s only since the new blogger that I can actually comment and I enjoy your blog so much! I have relatives in Aberdeen so when I see your lovely pictures I think they are just ‘down the road’! Your photos are a breath of fresh air and your paintings are beautiful. Just keep deleting ‘anonymous’ and stay with the blog community. Isobel from Australia x

  7. I understand why you need to take the break but that won't keep me from missing you - and wishing some really nasty things on not-so-dear-ol' Anonymous. Be good to you.

  9. Hi Jill, I know its hard to ignore these sad little people who feel that they have the right to be mean but please don't let them stop you from blogging.
My teacher used to say 'Empty vessels make the most sound' and this certainly applies to these horrible trolls who obviously have a miserable lives.
Take a break, I often do, and come back with your photos of the sea birds and your wonderful paintings. I enjoy all of it even if I don't comment on every post, I always read.
I wonder why I love animals more than people?
Stay strong and come back soon.

  10. Enjoy your rest but please return. Anonymous obviously has a problem, not you. I just love the way you capture birds on canvas so hope you enjoy painting for a while and await your return. Best wishes. Sarah.

  11. These obnoxious people are best ignored. I once received some really nasty comments which I pretended not to have read. I think this annoyed the person more than anything.

  12. I am so sorry that you feel you have to stop blogging because some dreadful person makes a nasty comment. I am not shielding but I am only just able to visit my grandchildren in Montrose and have them to stay overnight; everyone's circumstances differ.

i fail to understand why some people feel it necessary to be unkind and vent their venom on others. Please return as quickly as you feel able because you give pleasure to so many people.

  13. Some people just have to pass judgement on things that have no effect on them whatsoever. They're bitter enough to have to have their say, even if they hide behind being 'Anonymous'.
The ' miserably inadequate' definition of pathetic seems to suit such people down to the ground.

  14. Keep blogging. Just press the dustbin when anonymous comments. I love your painting and I love your sea photographs.

  16. Good Lord, such self-righteous vitriol from anonymous. She is obviously into adding heat, rather than light. YOU, my dear, are a bright light. You make the best of your situation, you see beauty where many may not see any, you soldier on, and best of all, share it with us. MUCH love to you from the States!

  17. To be fair from day 1 you decided rules were for everyone else but you as you were special!. But it was ok to take food parcels to keep you safe until it had no wine!. Then you just thought did it I,LL take free food go for wine and go to the beach anyway as is quiet!. Fuck it was quiet as people were trying to protect you!. Not your mum and not anonymous just your saying in March join me n be a rebel hurt!. You flounced around not giving a shot when kids were in prison to save you!. No respect.

  19. Honestly, I didn't think the comment was that bad. As Athena states, you have taken what you want from the rules to suit your life. As many others have as well.

The Prom is there for All to enjoy. Freedom of Choice belongs to all.

  21. Hang on a minute, you can,t deny you declined to stay at home!.As you said rules did not apply to you just everyone else. You got stroppy as gov food parcel was not what you wanted and didn't include wine. So you went out anyway!. Decided you and husband were exempt of all lockdown guidelines . No wonder people were angry.
